Remanufacturing — A Win for the Environment

Scientific research points to great energy savings when usable equipment is remanufactured for re-use.  It’s estimated that the energy saved by remanufacturing is equivalent to the annual electrical output of five nuclear power plants or just under 11 million barrels of oil (over 200 oil tankers).

Remanufacturing benefits the environment in these ways:

  • Keeping parts out of the resmelting process saves energy and reduces pollution.
  • Remanufactured products enjoy multiple life cycles which prevents unnecessary use of raw materials including iron, aluminum and copper.
  • Millions of tons of raw materials are kept out of landfills when parts are returned for rebuilding.

Wooster Hydrostatics participates in this responsible process. We specialize in remanufacturing hydraulic pumps.  Our goal is to keep parts and pumps in use through as many life cycles as possible.  We pay cash for cores we can use in our remanufacturing process.

And, we use only genuine OEM manufactured parts when rebuilding and remanufacturing which makes for reliable second and third life cycles of the pumps we sell.
Ask our staff how using remanufactured components can be a significant part of your efforts to improve the environment.
