Yaskawa Servo Motor Repair and Service

Wooster Hydrostatics offers repair of Yaskawa Servo Motors

Servo Motors represent a critical advancement in motion control, and you cannot afford down time due to failed motors. Only a few companies provide repair services on these complex pieces of equipment, and only a select few can service all closed loop technology designs. Our repair process includes:

  • Motors are broken down to the sub-component level
  • Each motor is fully run tested
  • Bearings are replaced
  • If necessary, we rewind the motor
  • Recalibrate the encoder/tach

Call 1-800-800-6971 or use our online request form to get a quote on repairs for your Yaskawa servo motor!

We offer premium repair and customer support services. We call it White Box Service, and it includes:

  • Detailed failure reports that will accompany your motor when it is returned
  • All repairs carry a 1-Year In-Service Warranty

About Yaskawa Servo Motors

Yaskawa is one of the world's largest manufactureres of AC Drives and motion control products, including adjustable frequency drives, servo amplifiers, servo motors, machine controllers, and motion controllers. Their Brushless AC Servos, Digital Amplifiers, Linear Motors, Direct Drive Motors and Servo Gearmotors provide high performance motion control, and their products feature Single-Axis and Multi-Axis Motion Controllers that are designed for stand-alone, networked, and coordinated motion of Industrial Machines.

Types of Yaskawa Servo Motors We Repair

If you don't see your series or model number listed below, don't hesitate to give us a call. We service just about every model of servo motor that is available from Yaskawa and other manufacturers.

Yaskawa Rotary Servo Motors

Yaskawa mass produces servo motors using a segmented stator design, and was the first company to do so. The process uses individually wound stator segments, which are grouped together, press fit into the motor body and then impregnated with resin. This improves heat transfer, reduces the motor size and cost and provides quality and reliability. The Sigma-5 and Sigma II Series of Servo Motors use an all-digital feedback process, allowing the amplifier to automatically recognize the motor the optimize the settings.

Sigma-5 Rotary Motors include SGMJV, SGMAV, SGMGV and SGMSV. The Sigma-5 Direct Drive Motor is the SGMCS. In the Sigma II series, the Servo Motor types are SGMAH, SGMPH, SGMGH, SGMSH, SGMUH, SGMBH. This series also features the SGMM Mini Motor.

Linear Servo Motors

Yaskawa linear Servo Motors feature plug-and-play connection with the Sigma-5, Sigma II and LEGEND amplifiers, using automatic motor recognition and serial encoder technology. Their Linear Servo Motors are supplied as components or an integrated slide, and the components include a coil that directly drives the load and modular magnet tracks that allow almost unlimited machine length. The Sigma Trac slide includes direct drive components, carriage, bearings, base, and linear encoder all integrated into a plug-and-play package. Motor types in this series include SGLGW, SGLFW and SGLTW and Sigma Trac SGT.

Direct Drive Servo Motors

The SGMCS servomotor line is designed for direct drive applications where the load is directly attached to the motor surface. This eliminates backlash, reduces the number of mechanical components, and provides a stiff mechanical system for demanding, dynamic applications. Pre-tapped mounting holes and a hollow-through shaft permit a variety of machine designs. These direct drive motors have substantial load carrying bearings and low speed windings.
